There are so many great spots in the Blue Mountains of NSW Australia which have magnificent views, some are hard to get to and require a certain level of fitness, whilst there are also a lot of spots that are easy to get to, and include the many lookouts that abound in the mountains.
In the Blue Mountains, there are so many beautiful gardens and this one above is from Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens. It is really large and you could easily spend a day here. It has a wide variety of plants, and spectacular mountain views. Popular with plant lovers and Photographers who like me, enjoy Landscape and Garden Photography.
Jenolan Caves NSW.
I have been coming here since I was a kid, once or sometimes twice a year. The caves here are magnificent and I always enjoy a good old ramble along the river walk and more often than not have caught a glimpse or two of the resident Platypus.
Mount Irvine and Mount Wilson are great spots for Nature Photography.
With Mount Wilson for Garden Photography. Mount Irvine is only a couple of minutes drive from Mount Wilson and is worth the visit.
Mount Solitary Blue Mountains.
Mount Solitary is located in the Jamison Valley and the shot above was taken from Echo Point very early in the morning a little while back. Echo Point is an extremely popular spot for Landscape Photography and tourists. Even in the wee hours of the morning there are people braving the cold here at the lookout, waiting for the sun to rise or perhaps to see the spectacular fog that shrouds the Jamison Valley.
These are just a few of my favourite spots for Photography, as I like to Photograph Nature and Flowers as well as Landscapes, I do tend to go to my favourites, but also enjoy exploring new possibilities when time permits, as the locations are endless.
